Places

After launching Mobile-Tuner you get to the main menu. From here you can call all the features of Mobile-Tuner by tapping the appropriate tile.

Tuner

Use the chromatic tuner to keep your instrument in tune. Optionally you can select a tuning range in the settings screen. At start the complete range from the third to the 7th octave is preselected. To tune on note a4 (440Hz) select the range C4 - B4 for example. You can also change the reference frequency here. After that switch to the tuner screen and play the note to tune. The meter shows deviations from the recognized note, the note and the recorded frequency. It is also possible to display a graphical representation of the input signal.

  • Pitch detection works best, when there is no or limited background noise.
  • Play the note loudly with a steady volume to the microphone of your windows phone.

Metronom

Metronome

The metronome shows you the pace of a piece of music. By tapping the start and stop button you start/stop the metronome. If you selected sound and/or vibration your phone vibration and metronome sound are activated. Tempo and beats per bar can be changed by tapping on the appropriate + and - icons.

Keyboard

Keyboard

In the keyboard screen Mobile-Tuner simulates a piano. By tapping on the direction icons "left" and "right" you move the scale up and down. By tapping the piano keys up to 4 notes can be played simultaniously.

Settings

In the settings screen you can set your preferences for Mobile-Tuner.

You can choose:

  • Metronome sound:
    There are several piano or drum based sound patterns you can select from. Select your preferred pattern by tapping on the metronome sound box.
    Note: The volume of the metronome and keyboard is changed by setting the phone volume.
  • Tuner display:
    Signal: display of frequency and signal
    Spectrum: display of frequency and the frequency spectrum
  • Tuning range:
    Select a tuning range by selecting an octave or the range D3 to H7.
  • Enable/disable the display of the number of the octave.
  • Calibration:
    Change the frequency of the reference tone A4 by -48 hz to + 54 hz (440hz by default).
